Sales Manager / Business Development Manager

All Pro Roofing & SheetMetal Ltd. (also known as All Pro Roofing®) was founded in 1993 with locations in London, Kitchener, Waterloo, Mississauga, Cambridge, Guelph, Hamilton, Niagara Falls, Burlington, Oakville, Brampton, Sarnia, Windsor, Chatham, Brantford, and Woodstock — throughout Southwestern Ontario.

We are seeking a Sales Manager / Business Development Manager.

The Sales Manager provides leadership and expertise while operating an efficient and profitable Sales team.  The successful candidate will work independently and alongside the C.E.O. to grow the current client base, increase sales, and further diversify our business.

If you have experience in construction, roofing and/or material take-offs, and are looking to grow your skillset, then we want to hear from you.  Previous Estimating or Management experience is desired; however, we are willing to train the right candidate.


Responsibilities Include

  • Source new Clients by searching and reaching out to them by emailing / texting them about us and our services
  • Understand and prepare takeoffs/estimates for assigned jobs
  • Attending pre-tender site meetings to prepare accurate estimates
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing world-class customer service, offering suggestions or alterations when asked or deemed required
  • Develop good working relationships with current clients to ensure full quality and satisfaction
  • Prepare quotations and tenders while ensuring to be up to date on addendums and drawings
  • Be aware and informed of all new materials or techniques in your field by attending material manufacturer’s seminars, trade shows, etc.
  • Follow-up on quotes and tenders and confirm the outcome
  • Review all contracts and accepted quotations, and seek final approval with the department Manager
  • Write up work orders completely and in a concise and timely manner to assist scheduling and purchasing of materials at the best prices
  • Prepare materials / order sheets for jobs
  • Maintain and grow ongoing business relationships through direct and frequent communication with the Client.
  • Initiate and develop relationships with key decision makers in all serviceable markets.
  • Develop new clients; maintain and grow ongoing business relationships through direct and frequent communication.
  • Identifying and sourcing prospective clients from various sectors.
  • Generate leads for new business
  • Remote interactions and presentations / demos.
  • Supporting corporate initiatives and business development objectives.
  • Train, mentor and develop team members and build a strong team


Ideal Requirements

  • Post-secondary education is an asset
  • Completion of a certificate/diploma in Estimating, Construction Management, Architectural and Building Technology, or an equivalent program is an asset
  • Exposure to reading and deciphering architectural blue prints and specifications
  • Excellent knowledge in Excel, Outlook and Word and ability to operate a workstation proficiently
  • Must have great interpersonal, communication skills and a good sense of humor
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; positive attitude and co-operative outlook
  • Must have an amazing can-do attitude
  • Ability to work well with various participants of the construction process (internal and external)
  • Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to handle tight deadlines
  • Ability to multitask, organize, and adapt to changing timelines and priorities
  • A high degree of professionalism
  • Experience in managing people
