Job Description is currently looking for a Network Operations Manager to join our growing team! As a Network Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the reliability, implementation, and uptime of the customer facing production network. The Network Operations Manager will perform problem diagnoses, implement fixes for issue resolution, and communicate technical solutions in user-friendly language. They will contribute to the growth of the Network team through mentoring, supporting, and guiding team members and acting as a technical and executional leader, guiding best practices, and team priorities. What you’ll be doing:

Coordinating and oversee the daily activities of your team, setting priorities to ensure task completion and coordinating daily activities with other Managers/Team Leads in order to meet or exceed business objectives.
Partnering with the People & Culture team on all matters related to performance issues, setting consistent policy expectations, talent acquisition/management, and on-boarding/off-boarding.
Monitoring the performance of your team and provide feedback through regular one-on-ones and meetings.
Cultivating a culture of trust with your staff.
Communicating and liaise with other parts of the business to best manage project work and priorities.
Rolling out new services, processes, and procedures within the team and provide feedback on processes and procedures that may be ineffective.
Ensuring timely repair of outages covered by third-party vendor maintenance agreements.
Reviewing work orders/IT tickets and resolutions into’s IT software management system.
Experiencing and understanding of a network based on the Cisco and Juniper platform.
Supporting with systems, network monitoring, and troubleshooting software and hardware.
Use monitoring and tickets to pinpoint trends and trouble spots in order to conduct proactive maintenance.
Participate in our change management process and coordinate scheduling.
Compile, maintain, and file all changes, RFOs and reports, and other documents as required.
Recognize and escalate more complex issues to the Network Operations Director.
Oversee and participate in an on-call rotation.
Occasional travel when required.
Other appropriate responsibilities relevant to the role today and the role as it may evolve.

The successful candidate has:

Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related program of study, or equivalent experience.
7-10 years of experience in Network Administration coupled with 2+ years leading technical teams.
Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to develop, motivate, mentor and help drive technical decisions.
Strong communicator with the ability to build trusting relationships, both internally and externally, effectively.
Working knowledge of and/or experience with the following:

Cisco or Juniper routing and switching.
Linux operating systems and management
Data center management.

Superb organizational and project management skills with the ability to work on and manage multiple complex projects at once. 
Able to react quickly and decisively in an environment with shifting priorities, inconsistencies, and ambiguity.
Self-aware and conscious of how your decisions and business decisions influences your team.
Proven ability to leverage technical metrics to drive effective business decisions. Demonstrated experience implementing and leading team initiatives.
Strong organizational, time management, and presentation skills.
Able to work in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-based environment with an open mind and attitude to explore new technologies, improve efficiency, and embrace change.
High degree of professionalism, courteousness, and friendliness.
Completion of or working towards CCNA or JNCIA certification is considered an asset. 
Able to perform computer work, including typing and other fine motor movements for up to 80% of each shift.
Valid G level driver’s license and able to provide a driver’s abstract.
